Mike Koreen

Mike Koreen (born June 29, 1980) is the sports editor at the Kingston Whig-Standard. Formerly, he was a sports columnist covering the Toronto Raptors basketball team for The Toronto Sun. Prior to covering the Raptors, Koreen won the 2005 Tom Borrelli Award as the top writer covering the National Lacrosse League. He also won the 2002 Sports Media Canada Nike Bursary as the top student sports journalist in Canada in his final year at Ryerson University in Toronto. Koreen started working at the Moon as a co-op student from Westmount Secondary School. A Canadian historical buff, he's currently working on a screenplay on Lord Durham's Report. |
