He attends the University of Maine at Presque Isle in the United States where he plays for the Men's varsity basketball team. Patrick Manifold was born in Great Yarmouth and raised in the area. He went to first and middle school at Saint Mary's and high school at Notre Dame in Norwich, Notre Dame is where Patrick found basketball. After a promising start to his young basketball career and after finishing high school, Patrick was spotted by Coach James Bamfield and later moved to King's Lynn to attend the College of West Anglia. While there he studied and played for both the college's basketball academy and at the age of 16 began playing for the National League men's team the King's Lynn Fury (later the College of West Anglia Fury). After a successful year in the top flight National League Division 1 of English basketball Patrick set his sights on his true dream of going to play college basketball in America. He recently made from scratch a complete fitness website to help those around him while he is in America. Patrick thinks that it is very important for children to be involved in regular physical activity, and what better way to stay active than playing the great game of basketball. Basketball teaches children and young adults some very valuable life lessons including the importance of discipline and team work. The funds raised from the event are donated to the children’s ward at Patrick's local James Paget hospital and a local basketball club in Great Yarmouth, England.
