Michael Cresswell

Michael Cresswell BEd, is a passionate educator, St Joseph's College, Nudgee old boy and former Australian Basketball Association (ABA) semiprofessional basketballer and coach from Cairns, Queensland, who won a Super 8 Queensland Australian Basketball League (QABL) Championship in 2003, QABL State Championship and ABA National Championship in 2004 , 2004 was the first all-Australian team to win a national title. He was the assistant coach of the 2003 under-23 Marlins QABL Champions, and became the Assistant Coach of the Cairns Marlins from 2005-2007 ; leaving due to university and teaching commitments. In 2009 he had a brief return to the ABA playing with the Northside Wizards, and was the Director of Basketball at St Joseph's College, Nudgee, Brisbane and is on the List of Nudgee College Old Boys alumni. He continues to coach basketball and teach children around the world.
