Carnegie Mellon Rugby Football Club

The Carnegie Mellon Rugby Football Club is a collegiate rugby team at Carnegie Mellon University.
The Carnegie Mellon Rugby Football Club was originally founded with coaching and limited resources provided by the Pittsburgh Harlequins in the 80's , a period in which the club was very successful. However, the club disintegrated in the end of the decade and it was resurrected in 2003 under the direction of Head Coach James "Chip" Lenzi and later on Head Coach John Elash. In 2004, Carnegie Mellon University officially recognized the club team administratively.
In 2008, the team once again became full competing members of the Allegheny Rugby Union, and proceeded to finish the fall season with a record of 5-1 .
The Carnegie Mellon Rugby Alumni network is growing as fast as the teams trophy shelf is getting heavy. CMU Rugby alumni currently play all over the United States, from Seattle to New York.
