Mike Pugh

Carl Michael "Mike" Pugh (born December 9, 1950 in Auburn, Alabama) is the head men's basketball coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.
Education
Mike Pugh attended Auburn High School, graduating in 1969, and Auburn University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation in 1974. He later earned a masters degree in physical education from Alabama State University in 1987.
Coaching career
Pugh began his coaching career at John T. Morgan Academy in Selma, Alabama in 1974. At Morgan, he served as head basketball coach, interim headmaster, athletics director, assistant football coach and head track and field coach. Pugh's basketball team amassed a 177-32 record in eight seasons, winning the Alabama Private Schools Association state championship in 1978 and reaching the state semifinals six times. His track squads won two further state titles. In 1983, Pugh was named head basketball coach at Southside High School, also in Selma. Pugh led Southside to seven consecutive playoff appearances, five area championships, state runner-up in 1986, and an Alabama High School Athletic Association state title—the school's first—in 1985.
