Matt Weisher (born Matthew Frederick Weisher; September 20, 1991) is an American Singer, Songwriter, Voice Actor, and Actor. In late 2006, Weisher started a YouTube account comprised of his own original songs as well as cover versions of already-popular ones, earning him a moderate fan base. Matt has also worked as an extra on the film The Life Before Her Eyes and makes an appearance in the up-coming independent film Camp Hope.
Early Life Matt Weisher was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Debra Lucia (née Richardson) and Mark Weisher. However, as his parents are divorced, Weisher lives partly with his mother and step-father, Steven Lucia, and partly with his father. He has a younger half-brother; Steven, as well as an older step-sister; Sarah. Matt has often stated that he started singing around the ages of two or three, following his father buying a karaoke machine. As his voice matured, Matt was chosen to sing in a Celebratory Concert for the late Dr. Seuss at Springfield Symphony Hall. Around age 10, Weisher's parents, set him up with private voice lessons at The Hartt School of Music, where he studied classically under four different teachers. When he entered high school, Matt also enrolled in the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts in addition to the normal school day, however, after just on year, Matt left the Arts School to return to life as a regular student.
Educational Videos Recently, Matt has has been in the studio, voicing the cartoon character "Mike", a young autistic boy, for Big Kids Productions, an educational film company. The videos are to promote learning and tolerance for children with autism. In addition to these videos, Weisher has also taken part in, among others, Go, Potty, Go an interactive potty-training video, in which he voices the character "Parker Panda".
Currently, Matt is in talks about voicing the title role in a future series called Bingo's Lingo, a Launguage Program comparable to Muzzy.
YouTube On September 25, 2006, under the username , Weisher created a YouTube account comprised of his own, original songs as well as cover versions of already-popular pieces. Most of the videos were shot with a webcam, with the exception of a video of Weisher singing the Simon and Garfunkel hit Bridge Over Troubled Water, which was recorded at Louie B's Restaurant in Southwick, Massachussetts.

On July 30, 2008, along with one of his more popular videos, Weisher announced his plans to audition for the 8th season of the hit television show American Idol.
