Glenn Luis Rodriguez (born on March 17th, 1987) is an American film director, screenwriter, and actor. He directed two short films Home(2007), and 180(2009). He also filmed a live local music concert, The Morgun Light Foundation Memorial Show. And was in charge of maintaining hip hop recording studio, Redline Studios youtube page. Early Life Rodriguez was born in Cape May, New Jersey, son of Luis Rodriguez, a corrections officer, and Candice Mckeehan, a retail salesperson. Rodriguez's father is of Puerto Rican decent, and his mother of Irish decent. He attended Cape May County Technical High School, a techinical high school that offered various trades, as well as a traditional high school education.While in high school his dreams of becoming a filmmaker grew and grew. He always talked film with friends Dan Green and Larry Callahan. Film Career In 2006, after watching Quentin Tarantino's Resevour Dogs , he wrote his first short screenplay titled The Nowhere Guys.It was a short screenplay that was later turned in to a full length screenplay. In 2007, he directed and started in the short Home. The film was shot in his home town in Cape May.Helping him was longtime friend Michael Sweeney. Home is a musical and visual journey through the main character's home town. The film debut on populair video viewing websites, Youtube and Daily Motion. Together, the film has been seen over 1,000 times. Elijah Bossenbroek, a pianoist from Arizona, lended him a track from his album, Carpe Lumen called “Rest”. In 2009, he directed the short film, 180. The film was written by Mike Shelton. 180 is a comedy about Dennis and his realtionship troubles with girlfriend Chastity. The comedy was filmed at a local late night diner called The Night Owl. One of the stars, Cait Kennedy was currently employed and gained the location for shooting. Rodriguez with Airn Role established 1722 Films. They are currently working on their first film, Open Bar. Influences When Rodriguez was six year old, he saw John Capenter's Halloween for the first time and feel in love with filmmaking. He also sites Quentin Tarantino, Wes Craven, and Kevin Smith as influences. His top five films are Halloween, Pulp Fiction, Mean Streets, Dazed and Confused, and Clerks. Personal Life Rodriguez was an actor on the Jaws Ride in Universal Studios Orlando for a few months in 2007. Rodriguez is currently living in Keansburg, NJ. He is a huge fan of the music of Sigur Ros and would love to have them write the music for a film he wants to do in the future. Other loves include New Jersey Devils hockey, MMA, the music of Rammstein, and going to concerts.
