Markus Joe Rafael Kosonen (born February 18, 1983) is a Finnish film producer and actor. Young film producer found his way into film production after graduating in a college specialising in theatre arts. In 2005 his first youth/sports-drama “Life on ice” (Leijonan sydän) was broadcasted in television by the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE. The Pirkanmaa Film Center distributed the film with over 20 screenings in Finland, including one during the Tampere Film Festival. Kosonen’s debut film was also distributed by Pan-Vision Scandinavia in DVD-format. After fiction, Kosonen produced a feature documentary “Walking the sky” (2009) that was distributed on screen by Finnkino. Markus is experienced in many sorts of production. Kosonen participated the EU-funded Film Producer Degree, ELMA-programme. His latest productions include the first stereoscopic music video in Finland (release in 8/2009). He also works as band manager and a festival promoter.
