Maddy Lewis

Maddy Lewis is a British music manager, producer and occasional director who has worked in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Career
Lewis opened Easy Tiger Productions in 2005. The company first focused on developing Theatrical productions; known for producing Irvine Welsh's play, Trainspotting (produced in Canada), and Maddy Lewis's play Streets (Edinburgh Fringe Festival).
In 2008 British play Dogs Barking was staged by Easy Tiger Productions. It ran at the Toronto Fringe Festival before transferring to the Underbelly in their Baby Belly Venue at the Edinburgh Fringe. Irvine Welsh's play Ecstasy. was also produced for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that year, gaining 5 star reviews.
In 2009 she went into film, producing short films, corporate, documentaries and music videos; they included the original cast of Jersey Boys (London Production), Soul Band The Franks and Safa musician Jasper Dick.
In 2010 her screenplay Streets went into pre-production. Currently being produced as a film. Award winning writer Roland Moore confirmed as script editor on the feature. Front Street Pictures (Vancouver), Whatever Pictures (London), and Tribeca Film Studios (New York) are supporting the production.
In 2011 Lewis decided to open her own Music Management Department with her acts to be announced later this year.
Current projects
Current projects include a specialist documentary for the Deaf/Disabled staring Caroline Parker and interviews with Jenny Sealey Artisic Director of Graeae Theatre Company, a USA prison documentary directed by Lynn Taylor filmed at Valley State Prison for Women, a short film 'Happy Now' written and directed by the actress Alexandra Boyd, and a feature with NKA films called 'The Wilderness' based on the true stories of Athletes in the East End.
Lewis is producing the play Chicken written by Mike Batistick with Innercity Productions to be staged at the Trafalgar Studios London in 2011.
Lewis has worked as an actress, theatre producer, production manager (film/theatre), Director (theatre) and first assistant director. (film/TV).
Personal
Maddy Lewis left Swansea in 1996 to pursue an acting career.. She studied Theatre studies at the University of Surrey for three years and went on to work professionally as an actress.
Lewis travelled to Los Angeles, California in 2003 to further her studies in acting for the screen, taking a course at the UCLA She went on to understand the business more, and found opportunities for acting work available in Canada. Lewis then moved to Canada in 2003. She lived in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. During this time she gained insight into behind the scenes work and started working in production obtaining her Canadian Permanent Residency.
Lewis moved back to L.A. in March 2009 to gain bigger experience in production. She lived in North L.A.; moved to Orange County, California in June 2009, and made a final move back to London later in 2009.
Lewis is also an avid Bikram yoga practitioner. She has studied Hot yoga and passed her 200hr certificate.
Lewis never forgot her roots, keeping Welsh as her first language.
