Mark Okano

Mark Kaniela Okano (February 11, 1979-) is a professional baseball player who played an integral part in the Orange County Flyers' win of the Golden Baseball League post-season championship. Born in Honolulu, he is of Hawaiian descent and currently resides in Aeia, Hawaii. He weighs 190 pounds and is 5'11".
At 30 years old, he is just coming into his baseball prime. After he won the Golden League championship in 2008, he left the Orange County Flyers and signed with the Calgary Vipers. His most memorable moment of the 2009 baseball season was hitting a three run blast on June 11 in Calgary. He was released by the Calgary Vipers on July 17, but has recently been signed by the Edmonton Capitals, also of the Golden Baseball League.
He is known by his teammates as an enthusiastic, intense soul. In the words of Calgary Viper Drew Miller, "I have never seen someone with so much energy!"
On December 30, 2009, Okano signed with the GBL's newest franchise, Na Ikaika Koa Maui.
