BACKGROUND <big>Maithili Rao</big> is an Indian - American Oncologist and Hematologist who founded Advanced Care Oncology & Hematology Associates in New Jersey. She treats a wide variety on cancers including pancreatic , prostrate, lymphoma, lung, colon, cervical, ovarian, and breast cancers. She also manages benign blood disorders. Maithili has participated in several clinical studies and has played an important role in increasing cancer awareness within the community as well as in many research areas Maithili received her MD in Oncology and Hematology from the University of Rochester, NY and she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center, NJ. She is Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine. Maithili is affiliated with Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ, Barnabas Health Care System, Livingston, NJ, Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ and Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, NJ. AWARDS & PUBLICATIONS Maithili has published and presented in several journals and conferences. She has published on association of molecular genetic changes with colorectal cancers as well as authored a chapter in a book on treatment and prevention of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients.
