Lord Worm

Lord Worm (real name Dan Greening) is a former vocalist of the Canadian death metal band Cryptopsy and one of the founding members of said band. He initially left in 1997 to work as an ESL teacher for adults. He picked his own replacement in the form of Mike DiSalvo. In 2003, he rejoined the band, but he left Cryptopsy again in April 2007, because of health reasons during touring. . He claims he got his nickname in the late eighties when he befriended a dark magician.
According to Lord Worm they would spend their time smoking snake ribs.

Lord Worm is renowned for his stage act, during which he eats worms that he usually either digs up himself before the show, or buys from a bait shop. At some gigs he also feeds his worms to the audience. He has claimed to have received no vocal training whatsoever. He does not warm up prior to performing. The only items he asserts prior to performances are consumptions of alcoholic beverages 5 hours before show-time, the avoidance of people who are smoking, and the ingestion of dairy products, as they dry out his throat.
Lord Worm left Cryptopsy voluntarily in April of 2007, although the band asserted he was asked to leave.
