Anah Aevia

Anah Aevia is a metalcore band from Lansing, Michigan. Since their formation in 2000 the band has released two EPs as well as a full length album and has embarked on multiple U.S. tours.
History
Anah Aevia was formed in late 2000 by the members of Blissfield,a rapcore band from Saint Johns, Michigan. In February 2001 the band entered the studio record the EP "Statistical and Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders 7th ed." on the independent record label Selah Records which later included such artists as Anathallo and Bloodlined Calligraphy. After the release of the EP the band began performing regularly in the lower great lakes region rapidly gaining a strong following.
The band followed up their EP with the full length album "Realize You're Dead" in 2002, which garnered positive reviews and was supported by heavy touring.
After some member shuffling in 2003 "The Machines" EP was released as a download only on the band's now defunct official website. Following the release they played the summer Christian Music festival circuit. In August of that year the band embarked on tour with label mates Bestiary and Bloodlined Calligraphy.
The fall of 2003 saw the departure of original vocalist Dan Gleason who left to pursue other musical projects. Jordan "Truck" Batterbee (Bestiary, Dagon) stepped into the role. It was around this time that the band started performing less frequently. Gleason returned in 2005 when the band performed at the Ichthus Music Festival in Kentucky.
In 2006 drummer Adrian Green joined Roadrunner Records band Still Remains though continues to occasionally perform with Anah Aevia.
The band entered the studio in December 2007 to begin recording a new as yet untitled EP. It is being recorded and produced by guitarist Clint Salisbury.
Recently, Anah Aevia announced a show on December 30 at Mac's Bar in Lansing, MI. Also performing will be Dagon and Eyes Unclouded. In the initial announcement via Myspace, Anah Aevia stated that the show is their first, and likely their last for a long time.
