Lisa McGrillis

Lisa McGrillis is an English actress from Carlisle.
Career
McGrillis has appeared on stage across the UK and on Broadway, including Live Theatre and Northern Stage in Newcastle, The National Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe, Arts Theatre, in the West end and Manhattan Theatre Club club on Broadway.
She made her professional debut at Live Theatre in 2006 in Nicole most famous directed by Jeremy Herrin She then originated the role of 'Susan Parks' in The Pitmen Painters by Lee Hall in 2007. The Play was transferred to the Cottesloe at The National Theatre in 2008 and sold out, it returned to the The National Theatre but this time into The Lyttelton Theatre for a limited season before heading out on a UK Tour. A Broadway production opened on 30 September 2010 following previews from 14 September 2010 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and played a limited run until 12 December 2010. It featured the original cast. The Pitmen Painters was recorded for radio and broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
McGrillis has also worked at Shakespeare's Globe in the 2011 season, in the productions Much Ado About Nothing alongside Eve Best and Joseph Marcell directed by Jeremy Herrin, the production was recorded and will be screened in cinema's worldwide. She also played Eve in The Globe Mysteries directed by Deborah Bruce. In 2012 McGrillis performed in the West End in The Awkward Squad.
On screen, McGrillis has appeared in Spit games BBC2 and Rocket Man BBC1. In 2006 McGrillis played Angalina in feature film The Other Possibility. McGrillis also played Sammy in The Gallery by Alan Plater which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 .
McGrillis plays Vicki Pearson, the daughter of Vic Reeves and Gina McKee in the comedy sitcom ' a baby cow/Channel X, due to air on 18 October 2012 on BBC2.
