Eqela is a software platform developed by Job and Esther Technologies for building native applications for various operating systems and various devices using a single codebase. Eqela currently supports development for mobile, desktop, web, server, and embedded platforms. Applications created using Eqela are compiled to the native programming language of the developer's choice, which are then compiled by native SDKs to the corresponding native installer of the target platform. The result is a 100% native application that is not packaged with unnecessary interpreters or virtual machines. The Eqela programming language belongs to the C syntax family. Other programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Java, and Javascript can also co-exist with the Eqela language to access platform specific features when needed. Eqela was initially introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2012 and CeBIT 2012. Prior to the launch, Job and Esther Technologies used Eqela to develop the Igelle operating system which runs on various processors and various devices.
