Libertas Austria () refers to the activities of Declan Ganley's Libertas.eu in Austria, which attempted but failed to run candidates for election in the 2009 European Parliament elections in Austria. History Libertas said in February 2009 that it was seeking a candidate in Austria. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) declined affiliation, citing concerns about US military connections. The Alliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ) was initially noncommital, although it said it may cooperate with them in the European Parliament. none of them were branded with the Libertas identity, and Libertas had claimed none of them.
