Lia Givenchy

Andrea McPhoy, known professionally as Lia Givenchy, is a Guyanese-born, Brazilian raised rapper, singer, reggae-artist, ghostwriter, actress, and model. Born in Linden, Guyana, and raised in Brazil, Givenchy moved to Brooklyn, New York City in her mid-teens. She has gained public recognition in 2017 after releasing the song "Draggin It" from her upcoming EP Baethoven. Givenchy is often compared to Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Foxy Brown.
Music career
Givenchy began her music career as a ghostwriter. In 2015, Givenchy released a duo of test tracks entitled "Lime Light" and "Givenchy Code". A year later, in 2016, Givenchy released her official debut single titled "Palm Reader". After releasing "Draggin It" in 2017, Givenchy returned to her music roots and released the reggae track "Bad Ting" in mid 2019. That same year she also performed for the first time in her home country of Guyana. Givenchy also opened up for legendary reggae artist Buju Banton during his 2019 Long Walk to Freedom Tour. Givenchy was included on several best dressed lists including The Cut and the BET network for the 2019 BET Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
