Letters to Elora are a Mississauga, Ontario, Canada based alternative/rock band that consists of Andrew Bryce (vocals/guitar), Jeff Raposo (guitar), Nick Chang-Fong (bass) and Calvin Castellino (drums). The band has released one original album, Backdrop in 2006 and a single Never Let You Down from a 2008 untitled album. The group announced their break-up on their Myspace page on August 21, 2008 citing "creative differences." thumb Backdrop The band released their debut album, Backdrop, in March 2006. The album was recorded in a basement studio and was produced and mixed by Andrew Bryce. The album was recorded without Jeff Raposo, who replaced the guitarist Carl Miceli, in August 2007. The album contained 10 tracks, including a song with Andrew solo. Awards Letters to Elora are the winners of 2006 NXNE Rogers People's Choice Award where they won $5,000, plus downloadable ring tunes and graphic on the Rogers Wireless service. They recorded "Wasted Away" at legendary Metalworks Studios in their hometown and released it to radio in October 2006. In October 2006, they won "Best Alternative" at the Toronto Independent Music Awards (and were also nominated for "Best Song" for 'Wasted Away'). In November, they won "Punk Artist of the Year" at the Los Angeles Music Awards (and were nominated for "Punk Single of the Year" for both "Wasted Away" and "Find You"). Tour They made their USA Live Debut in March 2007 at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, California. The group has played many venues in Toronto and within Ontario, Canada. Never Let You Down The first single to radio from their upcoming second album is "Never Let You Down." A music video premiered in mid-September 2007. The song was produced and mixed by Chris Perry, who has worked with Shawn Desman, Keisha Chante and George.
