Lauren Zeitels

Lauren Rachel Zeitels (born July 5 1984) was an American physician-scientist and internist, and an internal medicine resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital. While at the Massachusetts General Hospital she co-founded the Pathways Program which fosters deeper scientific investigation of unusual medical cases in order to discover novel disease treatments. She went on to acquire her medical and doctoral degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
Awards and Honors
2002:
* Chubb Group "Top Ten" Scholarships, Outstanding Achievement in English and Biology, Rutgers Waksman Student Scholars Program
* Appointed as one of only two students to represent New Jersey at the National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia and was one of 48 in the nation to win "Honorable Mention Award" in the DuPont Science Essay Challenge
* Awarded Van Doren scholarship for the academic year.
