Landboss is a land management software application designed by InterWorks, Inc. It can be used for land and lease tracking, time-sheet entry, accounting, mapping, form generation and workflow management. The software is designed to be used by oil and gas landmen. History Landboss was initially conceptualized in 2005. The aim of the software was to assist oil and gas landmen in various facets of land management, specifically lease management. Landboss began development in 2007. In 2009, Landboss Version 1.0 was released. Since 2009, several updated versions have been released. The most recent Landboss release is Version 1.27.7. InterWorks is currently developing another land management software suite called Mineralboss, to be used in conjunction with Landboss. The focus of Mineralboss will be mineral rights management. Features Browser based Landboss is browser based software, allowing it to be connected from any computer that is connected to the internet. The software is hosted by InterWorks, Inc. Land and lease management The primary feature of Landboss is the ability to track leases and other land related documents. Reporting Landboss has reporting capabilities through the use of dashboards, prospect reports and accounting reports. Document management and generation Users can manage leases, receipts, accounting records and legal documents in Landboss. Landboss also allows for the creation of lease forms, time sheets and payroll checks. Users. Documents can be exported from Landboss to Quickbooks. Landboss is partnered with Simplifile, an e-filing website that allows for electronic lease uploading. Mapping Landboss possesses GIS mapping capabilities, where users can generate and edit custom maps.
