Ladue Yacht Club Founded Ladue Yacht Club was founded in 1946, ten years after the city of Ladue was founded. Ladue Yacht Club was founded by Captain Tanner "Salt" Prestcott. His nickname was "Salt" because of his days spent as an ocean yacht builder. He took a 3 man boat building shop and turned into a billion dollar global custom yacht company. Forced to sell his company and move to the , to care for his dying father, he chose Ladue as his home. Using his fortunes, he built a private lake in the center of Ladue. The lake was large enough to accommodate one small yacht where he could teach sailing skills. Tanner had 9 large castle estates, each with multiple guest houses, and a large boat house, built around the lake. Tanner sold, basically gave, the estates to his close friends and family. Every estate included a small custom built training yacht and storage facility . In June 1946 they founded the Ladue Yacht Club and the Prescott Sails Neighborhood. Prescott Sails Nine estates currently exist, each having at least two guest houses. Every estate has a dock, a yacht and a cabin boy. The largest home being owned by the notorious billionaire bachelor III. The man-made is well hidden. A genetically altered algae which grows like grass on top of the lake hides the lake from aerial photos. Rumor is that the entrance of the neighborhood appears to be a private gated driveway that includes a decoy home which is actually the offices for the Ladue Yacht Club. Tendernob Vineyards On the far west end of the neighborhood, next to Tanner's estate, there is a small private vineyard. The vineyard is named after Nob, a place in ancient Israel in the vicinity of Jerusalem and a lighthouse tender. The Olhendorf for Ladue Yacht Club Members and Family Private Restaurant in Ladue that caters to the Ladue Yacht Club member. It's a private restaurant that has multiple limos for gathering their members every night. Ninety percent of their membership is the Ladue Yacht Club and staff. Ladue Yacht Club Rivals People from chesterfield, clayton, wildwood and frontenac are seen as low income undesirables. Other cities are not worth mentioning. Theclub is afraid that people from wildwood will start moving into Ladue. Ladue Yacht Club blames the economy on those cities - the recent rash of foreclosures in the area is almost exclusively linked to chesterfield and wildwood residents trying to artificially better themselves.
