Cowdenpark House

Introduction

Cowdenpark House is a house in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. It was listed
as a Category C(s) building on 17 June 1977.


It was built in the 1850s for Alexander Forrester-Paton, a member of the family which owned Paton & Baldwins Wool company Patons and Baldwins. It was first used as a house, and was later turned into a school for disabled people. Next it was used for offices as a council building. After this it was split into 3 houses and was sometimes used as offices for small businesses such as wecanbookit limited, a travel agency.
It is currently used as three houses.

History
The architect was , (1805-7 March 1884).

It was built for Alexander Forrester-Paton, a member of the Paton family which owned large areas of land in Clackmannanshire. His family also founded Paton & Baldwins Ltd, a large manufacturer of wool.
The house itself was built in the 1850s.
