Daniel B.K Edwards II better known by his stage name kNERO (pronounced- knee-ro, born May 19, 1981) Hip Hop, Pop, alternative rapper-singer,songwriter,and record producer. kNERO is CEO of his own company "Get Wit It Media" and co-founder of an online magazine "Get Wit It Magazine" Early Years Born in West Africa, Liberia, Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Arriving to America "The land of Opportunity",at a real young age. Most come to the United States for a better living but his family on the other hand came because his father was the first and youngest Liberian to have managed an American corporation in Liberia. His skills rewarded the family to fly Pan Am airlines at the time to start a life in the states. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt and left them stranded in a world his father was not familiar with, which lead him to become a taxi driver in New York City. Due to the Liberian civil war that broke out months after their arrival, killing over hundreds of people daily, the family decided to stay in attempt to prosper. In 1984 a new member was presented to the family, kNERO's first little sister. His father no longer drove a taxi but his mother still worked as a housekeeper. While his mother was the only financial provider at the time, kNERO's father had to do job interviews with their baby sister in the car, while kNERO and older brother was attending school. At the age of 9 he started rapping and at 14 years old he started producing and recording putting aside the love for Art. According to his parents, kNERO was always the last one to sleep, making music from dust til dawn. Recording on his karaoke boom box, he found a special technique to record his Ab libs with two cassette tapes. As year gone by he studying the art of rapping a producing and the business of the music industry by reading and analyzing the business pitfalls of some artist in the industry. The Hon. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf a.k.a The "Iron Women" is also of kin to kNERO. Dad who is the National President of a non-profit organization group called " THE BOMI COUNTY ASSOCIATION". They're raising funds for the kids in West Africa, Liberia to go back to school. When Ms. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf became president, the country gained over 58% of its value back. During the seventh year of the cold-blooded civil war amongst Liberia's warlords thousands of lives were claimed. 2,5 million inhabitants, 1,2 million - almost half of the entire population have been forced to flee their homes. Approximately 750,000 have escaped to bordering countries, making Liberia the third largest refugee exporter after Afghanistan and Rwanda. Coming from that kNERO himself is a Movement, Co-signed by the Bomi County Association and Bomi County's Major Gbielley D.Karnley of Liberia. The Producer/ Recording Artist, kNERO assist his native land of Liberia (West Africa) and makes a difference through his Music and projects in education, health, environment and humanitarian assistance. Music career Performing at Newark Symphony Hall sharing stage sharing the stage with Mc Lite, Kool and the Gang, Dana Dane, Slick Rick and more also at Atlanta's fabulous Fox Theater, name being announced with Erika Badu, Jimmy Cliff, Music Soul Child, The Moments and more.. Recording with artist such as " who played Biggie in the Notorious B.I.G movie, Amil formerly known from the Roc-A-Fella and Doitall from Lord of the Underground and comedian Kyle Grooms. kNERO has release a single featuring Norwegian singer Adele Erichsen "Not Drunk Enuff" in Norway under CCAP records.
