HiFyve

Jason King (born August 25, 1988), better known by his stage name HiFyve, is an American hip hop artist and producer. He is the CEO of PK4L (Privileged Kids 4 Life) Inc. He is currently working on his debut LP "The Young Virgo", which is scheduled for release in Spring 2013.
Biography
Early years
Originally from Harlem, New York, Jason King was raised by his young mother throughout the boroughs of the city. Growing up without a father, living with his mother, grandmother and with 3 younger sisters, he faced many of the same challenges that the other city youth had to go through. After moving around and transferring from school to school, his family finally settled in Queens, New York. There King attended Andrew Jackson High School made popular by gangsta rapper 50 Cent. At the age of 13 in his freshmen year, he developed a knack for music, and begin to pursuit it as a future career.
In his neighborhood, King started out producing music for local acts that would perform their songs at showcases and talent shows. He spent most of his time learning and practicing his craft to the extend that he would cut class just to go to the recording studio and work on music.
After a few years of producing and working in the studio on other artists music,at the age of 16, he then was inspired to pursuit a career behind the mic, along with his behind the boards. Shortly after he spent his life savings, along with a huge investment from his mother, on buying his own studio equipment so he could take the first serious step in making his own music. He then spent the next few years promoting his own songs as an artist under the pseudonym "HiFyve."
Music career
Blackout
In 2010 HiFyve created a song called "Blackout", an attempt at a first shock value single, with lyrics about sex, drugs, murdering his cousin, Lindsay Lohan, and partying. The song quickly grew in popularity amongst college students and alternative and hip hop fans. With his new found popularity, HiFyve independently released the song as a single on the Blackout EP through Media One Music Group. The Blackout EP It went on to sell over 20,000 copies of its digital release via iTunes.
The Best You Never Heard
After taking a short break from releasing new music in 2011, HiFyve released to fans an Amazon exclusive digital only release, "The Best You Never Heard". "The Best You Never Heard," a combination of the best of the unreleased music recording in the past year, was released in the summer of 2012 by HiFyve's
Privileged Kids 4 Life imprint. Also released was a Chopped and Screwed Version, released in collaboration with Texas native
Homebase.
Yea You Know and The Young Virgo
On July 12th, 2012, HiFyve went to his personal site and blog to announce the release of his debut LP
"The Young Virgo". This would be the first non-digital only release from HiFyve. "The Young Virgo Album" was announced to be released late 2012/early 2013. In preparation of this new album HiFyve released a track list and the first single from the project, "Yea You Know".."Yea You Know," produced by HiFyve himself,
was released as an official single on August 20th that year.
