Kiawasch SahebNassagh (, born 9 December 1968. Tehran, Iran) is Iranian music composer, researcher and pianist.
Biography
Kiawasch SahebNassagh was born in 1968 in Tehran, Iran, After studying piano (A. Haratunian, F. Behboud, Rezai, Shahsa, H. Nasehi)
and Music theory (S. Lotfi, M.Darvishi, M.Rohani, A.Mashayekhi). he began composing in 1986.
In 1988 he began playing the setar as well as studying Persian music theory and improvisation
(H. Alizadeh, M. Shoari), composing works for Iranian radio and TV, Since 1994 Sahebnassagh has been enrolled, studying composition and theory under the instruction of Professor Beat Furrer.
Education
SahebNassagh received his MA in composition and music theory from the University of Music and Dramatic Arts, Graz, Austria in 2002. He has since continued his studies there toward a doctorate in electronic music and ethnomusicology.
