Karly Greene

Karly Greene (born 24 September 1987, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK) is an Irish actress.

Biography
Karly Rose Greene was born to Stephen and Amanda Greene. She has two younger sisters, Louise and Lauren. Raised in Newtownabbey, she attended Monkstown Community School until the age of 16. At 15, she landed her first major role as Katie in the Oscar-nominated Everything in This Country Must (2004), a short film directed by Gary McKendry and based on the short story written by Colum McCann.

Career
Karly played the lead in the Award-Winning and Oscar-nominated short film - Everything in this Country Must for Six Mile Productions, directed by New York Filmmaker Gary McKendry and Mike McGeagh produced. The film took Karly to the 2005 Oscars ceremony in the Kodak theatre L.A. She played ‘Jo’, a leading female in the British horror feature Wilderness, for director Mike J. Bassett and producer John McDonnell of Ecosse Films. The film received an international release from distributor Momentum Pictures.

Other film work includes the NIFTC funded short ‘Shadow’, an edgy film exploring desire and obsession. She has also made numerous supporting appearances in television series for BBC, UTV and TG4. Karly hs done many advertisement campaigns including: BT Internet Kiosks (poster and Billboards); DOE Road safety (TV); Anti-Sectarianism (TV and Poster); Tower Centre Shopping (TV and Poster); and Stay at School EMA campaign (TV).
