Untitled Ajiths 51st film is an upcoming Tamil action-crime film directed by Gautham Menon. The film stars Ajith Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhuin the lead role and will be his 50th film upon release. The film will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri under his banner, Cloud Nine Movies. This is the First Mass Entertainer film for Gautham Menon. This movie was believed to be Ajith's 50th movie but later confirmed it will be 51st movie, as Gautam Menon is busy wrapping up his upcoming thriller Nadunisi Naaygal and also a movie titled "Veppam" under his production house "Photon Kathaas". Veppam, which is directed by newcomer Anjana, is the first movie that Gautam Menon is producing for another director.

Development
Following the release of Aasal in February 2010, Ajith Kumar was signed on by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies for a project touted to be directed by Gautham Menon. Many reported that the title would be Thuppariyum Anand or Nizhal vettai but later it was reported that it was not the title for this film.
The movie launch is most likely to happen in madurai in grand manner.The movie was delayed to 2012.
Casting
A. R. Rahman and Manoj Paramahamsa will be the film's composer and cinematographer respectively for a second time, after working with Gautham Menon in his last film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. Anthony Gonsalves will be the film's editor.
Ajith playing double roles - one that of a cop and the other a villain with the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Ye Maaya Chesave and Baana Kaathadi Actress Samantha Ruth PrabhuEarlier it was said that Sameera Reddy was roped in to be the heroine of Ajith in this movie but the Director Confirmed that Samantha will be the heroine.
Filming
Principal photography of the first phase shooting is expected to happen sometime in October or November. This has been planed to release after the Ajith's 50th film and Cloud nine movies will produce it.
