Kangeyan is a forthcoming film by K.S. Ravikumar, following Asal. K.S. Ravikumar has signed up Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar. He is still waiting to choose his heroine for his forthcoming movie Kangeyan. Kangeyan Photo Shoot started in 2006. Nic Arts are once again producing Ajit's Kangeyan after Varalaru. K.S. Ravikumar has said the reason why Kangeyan had been postponed was becausehe had been busy with his latest Aadhavan starring Surya Sivakumar. The movie is said to be started straight after Asal. And the movie is slated to be released 2010 Diwali. For now Nic Arts are happy to produce once again for Ajit. The project would go ahead as planned as soon as both, the director and the actor finished their respective projects. Nic Arts started their latest project Kangeyan during late 2006 after Varalaru. Ajit started the first photo shoot schedule, but because he had future projects getting nearer he had to leave the shooting. Ajit had left for his 2007 project Billa directed by Vishnuvardhan. The movie Billa had given him a big hit, which also nominated him for Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award. After Ajit went back to join his previous project which was Kangeyan, K.S. Ravikumar was busy with his next project Aadhavan. K.S. Ravikumar had said he had not dropped the project and that he will start shooting the movie in early 2010. Casting The cast for Kangeyan has not been confirmed. But sources say that the music is to be composed by A. R. Rahman. And the comedian for this movie has also been said for Vivek. The heroine has not been decided yet but sources say that it may be Sneha Photo Shoot Kangeyan photo shoot started straight after Varalaru but because of the projects that Ajit had he had to leave. The photo shoot came out really well. Kangeyan photo shoot was said to take once more but the next schedule was delayed. Release The release of Kangeyan will happen late 2010 whereas the movie starts early 2010. Kangeyan has been said by K.S. Ravikumar to be his best for Ajit.
