Juboraj Shamim

Juboraj Shamim () is a Bangladeshi film director, screenwriter, and editor. He gained critical acclaim for his debut feature film Adim, which has been recognized both nationally and internationally for its portrayal of life in a Bangladeshi slum, has scored two awards at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival in Russia.

Career and filmography
Shamim made his directorial debut with the film Adim in 2022. The film was shot entirely in a slum in Tongi, Bangladesh, and featured a cast largely comprising non-professional actors. Its raw depiction of the struggles and resilience of slum dwellers earned critical acclaim.
Adim premiered at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Award and the NETPAC Award. The film also received the prestigious Hiralal Sen Padak, recognizing its significant impact on Bangladeshi cinema. Leter Adim get another award at the Queens World Film Festival, Selected at Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival at the same year. His next film Hajot is awiting for release.
Apart from filmmaking, Shamim has also served as a juror at the Moscow International Film Festival, further showcasing his contributions to global cinema.
