Jay Voss

Jay C. Voss (born ) is a professional baseball player who is a free agent. He was selected in the eighth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Florida Marlins. He attended Mater Dei High School and Kaskaskia College.
In 2007 Voss made his professional debut with the Short-Season Jamestown Jammers. He was 0-7 with 35 strikeouts and a 7.63 earned run average in 15 games—11 of them starts.
On March 30, 2010, Voss was traded to the Detroit Tigers for Nate Robertson and cash considerations. As of June 10, 2011, Voss was pitching for the Tigers' affiliate, the Erie Seawolves. Voss underwent Tommy John surgery in May, 2012.
In December, 2012 the St. Louis Cardinals selected Voss in the Rule 5 draft.<ref name="Jenifer"/>
