Jagdish Gandhi (born Jagdish on 10 November) is an Indian educator, noteworthy as the founding chairman of City Montessori School. The school has 20 branches in Lucknow with over 42,000 enrolled students, which has earned it a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Peace and other initiatives of Jagdish Gandhi are indeed praiseworthy. His annual conference of Chief Justices of the World at Lucknow is a unique attempt to create a common enforcable international law for the global village. He is a member of the Bahá'í Faith in India. Awards & Honours The prestigious institution has received the following awards - Certificate of Guinness Records, The Derozio Award, Friend of Young Physicists Award, Quality Pioneer Award, Key to the City of Georgetown, UNESCO Prize for Peace 2002, UP Ratan, Excellence Awards 2003, Rights of the Child Award, Nuclear Free Future Award, Life-Link Campaign, Bhartiya Awam Society UP, Progressive Cultural Society, Ashoka Changemakers award. He is one of the most famous personalities from Lucknow. Honorary Doctorate Award Gandhi was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Education at a ceremony on the occasion of World Teacher’s Day by Ufa-based Bashkir State Pedagogical University (BSPU).
