Judith Dillon

Judith Dillon is a life-long teacher of English as a Second Language.

Education and Career

Judith Dillon earned a B.A.degree in Liberal Arts in 1967 from Syracuse University, a private university in Syracuse, New York. Shortly afterward, she joined the Peace Corps as a volunteer. She served as an English teacher at a high school in Liberia, a small nation in West Africa.


After serving in Liberia, Dillon returned to the United States to start a family.


Since 1976, Dillon has taught English at ELS Language Centers/ Oklahoma City. In 1987, she completed her M.A. TESOL degree at Oklahoma City University.

TESOL Excellence in Teaching Award
Judith Dillon received the TESOL Award for Excellence in Teaching at the 2008 international TESOL conference in New York City in April 2008.
This award, given annually to one member of the organization, honors educators considered by their colleagues to be excellent teachers. She received the award for her life's work in ESL instruction by TESOL.
