Jacqueline Storey

Jacqueline Storey (Brünjes) is an English singer, dancer, choreographer and director. She is also an adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals and the All England Dance Association.
Career
Storey trained at the Doris Isaacs School in Hove followed by the Arts Educational Schools, London. At the age of sixteen she was the British Ballet Champion and spent some time with the London Festival Ballet. Her voice and dance teachers included Arlene Phillips, Ivor Medigo, Dame Ninette De Valois and Mary Hammond. The early career included television and stage productions both in London and nationally, including lead roles in The Wizard of Oz, Calamity Jane, pantomimes, summer seasons and variety. In the mid 1980s her West End career was restricted by family commitments. During the same time period she started and developed the Jacqueline Storey Theatre School ( which at its peak had over three hundred pupils) alongside a weekly slot on BBC Radio Brighton. For several seasons the school provided dancers and performers to Glyndebourne. In 1994 Jacqueline Storey was appointed as an adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals which continues to this day, both nationally and internationally. For the last fifteen years Jacquie has choreographed, directed and acted as presenter for many shows, particularly at the Theatre Royal, Brighton, the Brighton Dome, Gardner Arts Centre Falmer, Lancing College and the Rank Organisation. Productions have included , West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Kiss Me Kate, Joseph, Copacabana, Summer Holiday and We Will Rock You. More recent work has involved fashion and in 2008 Jacquie was Chair of Judges for Miss Gibraltar as part of the Miss World competition . Storey also lectures and presents The Craft Of The Choreographer. In 2010 Jacqueline Storey is choreographing a regional production of My Fair Lady.
Personal
Storey is married to Dr Harry Brünjes, son of Harry Scott of The Singing Scott Brothers and currently chairman of the Premier Medical Group. In 2007 her husband was President of the for which Jacquie produced a series of events with speakers Sir Christopher Meyer, Sir Donald Sinden, Lord Parkinson, Jonathan Webb and Professor Michael Dixon. The Annual Dinner was held in the grounds of her home, Ovingdean Grange, Sussex with Sir Tim Rice as the guest speaker. Storey has four children, all who are in the entertainment business; Emma (producer), Harry (filmmaker), Eric (music producer), and Ralph (musician). Jacqueline Storey also has an interest in restoration.  In 1993 she started a full restoration of the property and grounds of Ovingdean Grange in Sussex.  She is about to embark on a similar project on Folkington Manor, also in Sussex.
