Imaginary Jack Is a band formed by Joeseph Daniel Hines(Acoustic Guitar, Vocals)and Ian Ahola(Drums). The original band "The Kerosene Grapefruit Experience" didn't last long. Joeseph continued to perform under the stage name "A Boy In The Woods" until Joeseph wanted to expand. He found two musicians, Dana Harper(Piano, Mandolin, Electric Guitar) and Mark Katarik(Bass, Lapsteel, Acoustic Guitar) to form Imaginary Jack.
As the band gradually got better, Imaginary Jack got gigs at The Acoustic Cafe, and The Acadia Cafe, and even The Fine Line Music Cafe. At this time, Ian Ahola parted ways with the band. Imaginary Jack went on a long musical hiatus, picking up a new drummer, Eric Whalen. The band managed to get a showcase on the first Friday of every month, until in late June 2011, Dana Harper left the band for reasons unknown.
