Ian Thomas Malone (born July 18, 1991) is an American author, poet, playwright, actor, and yogi. He is mostly known for his philosophic comedy series "The Dialogues" and for his psychedelic coming of age novel A Trip Down Reality Lane, which was a bestseller in metaphysical fiction. Early Life and Career Ian Thomas Malone grew up in Greenwich, CT, where he attended Greenwich High School. He is the grandson of John Linsenmeyer, a member of the Baker Street Irregulars and former editor of their Baker Street Journal. Malone began writing at an early age, writing for various small blogs on sports and popular culture. While attending Boston College, one of his student articles was picked up by the online editions of the National Review, Wall Street Journal, and Fox News. Malone founded The Rock at Boston College, an innovative online publication. Malone's first book, Five College Dialogues was released on August 26, 2014. Five College Dialogues was noted for its unusual style of contemporary Socratic dialogue and hailed as a "statement on the ups and downs of the college experience." In an interview, Malone cited his training in the Meisner Technique as the chief inspiration for the format of The Dialogues. A sequel, Five More College Dialogues, was released the following year. Malone's commentary on Downton Abbey has been featured on various mainstream news publications.
