The Frank Book, also called Frank151, is a quarterly youth-culture publication based out of Downtown New York City. Though it is a quarterly, distribution-based publication, the Frank Book is marketed as a book, and not a magazine, due in part to its unique dimensions and format. History Created as a college art project by founding publisher Stephen Malbon, Frank Book Chapter 1 was released in the spring of 1999. Named after Benjamin Franklin, Frank White and other famous 'Franks,' Malbon was living in apartment number 151 of an Atlanta, Georgia building at the time. Early Frank Book Chapters featured music news and reviews, street-art spreads, and Atlanta nightlife listings.
