Netscribes was founded on May 19, 2000 by Sourav Mukherjee, Founder and CEO. It came into existance when knowledge process as an independent business opportunity was still in its nascent stages. Philosophy The mission of the company is to deliver "Return on Knowledge". In any business, the way inputs are sourced, managed and used determines the final output. Appropriate knowledge inputs that are acquired, organised and used effectively, can change the quality of outcomes and improve performance. This may be in the form of correct research, focused sales intelligence, organized knowledge management systems or the way a firm positions itself before stakeholders. Visual Identity The approved visual identity consists of three elements - a Symbol, a Logotype and the Slogan. The logo is inspired by the typographic symbol [http://en. .org/wiki/@ "@"]. The colour red stands for positive energy and innovation while blue stands for loyalty and perseverance. The red dot over the "i" holds cultural significance in the Indian context. Metaphorically, in India, the red dot symbolises the third eye of Lord Shiva which provides light to the entire world, the sacred sindoor that is adorned by married women with pride and several other cultural motifs embedded in Indian tradition. The logo is, thus, a complex yet muted blend of modernism (represented by the symbol ‘@’) and tradition (represented by the red dot).
