The Solar Cookers World Network is an alliance of approximately 500 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), manufacturers, and individuals that actively promote solar cooking around the world. Solar Cookers International acts as the Secretariat of the Network. The Network maintains a wiki-based site that allows Network members to share information and collaborate on projects and research. History Participants at the 2006 Granada solar cooking conference created what was originally known as the Solar Cookers International Association. Later the name was changed to the Solar Cookers World Network. Online resources The Network maintains a wiki-based website that allows the network members to share information and experiences at http://scwnet.org. As of 2011 Network members have distributed more than one million solar cookers. The Network also hosts a Facebook page for solar cooking discussions.
