Jeanne Jo

Jeanne Jo is an American artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA.
Education
Jo studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a MFA in 2008. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Southern California in the Interdivisional Media Arts and Practice program.
Life and Work
She has shown her work at various galleries and festivals throughout the world, including in New York, Los Angeles and London and has taught art classes at Brown University and Emerson College.
Raised in Reno, she published a book in 2010 called The Wrong Side of Reno and curated an exhibition of the same name at the Nevada Museum of Art, which called it "the first exhibition to present a comprehensive anthology of vinyl records that have been pressed in Reno during the city’s long and intimate history with underground music."
She has given lectures on her work at ISEA 2008 in Singapore and ISEA 2011 in Istanbul.
