Karrie Hayward

Karrie Louise Hayward (born February 28, 1998) is a Australian singer // songwriter // musician. She was born in Darwin, Northern Territory and grew up in the town of Mackay, Queensland. Karrie can play numerous amounts of instruments such as: mandolin, ukulele, drums, piano and various styles of guitar and travels around Australia playing her songs to crowds of many.
Biography
Alt-singer songwriter, Karrie Hayward has certainly made a big splash in the Australian music scene. She’s come a long way from Kakadu National Park, playing a toy guitar, to sharing the bill with international superstars like Lady Antebellum, Big and Rich and Kacey Musgraves. Winning praise from and sharing stages with the country’s top artists, like Adam Brand who said ‘Every now and then someone comes along that has that special something…well, whatever it is, Karrie’s got it!’.
It’s not hard to see this pocket-sized powerhouse is going places. Performing in local country music festivals since the age of 9, her love of music, in all genres, grew. Drawing inspiration from blues music and guitar heroes such as John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Ed Sheeran and BB King; as well as country crooners, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, Karrie’s own style is a blend of the best parts of country, alt and blues. Her unique music has seen her share the stage with Melinda Schneider, Adam Harvey, Adam Brand, Amber Lawrence, Catherine Britt, Morgan Evans, The Sunny Cowgirls, Bill Chambers, Jasmine Rae, Adam Eckersley Band, Chocolate Starfish, Hunter Hayes, Boney M and Blood Sweat & Tears. She’s performed across the country in both small towns and major music festivals, such as Gympie Muster, CMC Rocks, Tamworth Country Music Festival and Airlie Beach Music Festival.
Karrie is rocketing into 2016 with her new single, Elijah, recorded with Aria and Golden Guitar winning producer, Matt Fell and collaborating with Kaylen’s Rain to create the summer soaked, young love, story song. This offering is the first of many more great things to come with future releases already in the works. Now finished high school, she’s taken on being a musician full time. Karrie will be taking her bubbly, energetic shows around the country, extending her existing fan base. 2016 is set to be a huge year for this pocket-rocket.
