Ian Coate (born 1970, Perth) is one of the top military artist of Australia. He served in the Australian Army for seven years. Ian’s Military Artworks: In 2007, Ian was commissioned to paint the Australian SAS's 50th Jubilee Artwork. The Royal Australian Engineer Corps commissioned a series of paintings from him to celebrate their 100th birthday. From a selection of his works, 26 separate Limited Edition Prints have been published (including SAS & Lighthorse series). Ian’s original artworks hang in military museum around Australia including: SAS Regiment - Perth; 4RAR Battalion - Sydney; 2/14 Lighthorse - Brisbane; Duntroon - Canberra; RSL Headquarters - Queensland; 13th Engineers - Perth. |
