Highlight Industries

Highlight Industries is a company located in Grand Rapids, Michigan which manufactures stretch wrap machinery.
History
Incorporated in 1981, Highlight began in a basement after Kurt Riemenschneider received his first patent for his invention called the Highlight Handwrapper. In 1983, Highlight moved to a rented building in Wyoming, Michigan with six more employees, and expanded its production line to include powered machines, namely the Synergy and Revolver. In 1986, Highlight built its first building in Grandville, Michigan. The first Freedom, a swing arm stretch wrapper, was introduced in 1987. Highlight was recognized as "One of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in the State of Michigan" in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992. In 1997 Highlight built a new multimillion-dollar building in Wyoming, Michigan, where the company has over 75 employees.

Specialization and products
* Highlight's Hydro Stretch film delivery system can be dialed in to the exact amount of stretch optimum to each film. Hydro Stretch is featured on the Synergy stretch wrapping line.
* Highlight specializes in the emerging application of stretch film in roll/coil and six-sided wrapping.
* Highlight's Stretch Set system is featured on its manual hand wrappers.
* Highlight's Film Test Stand is an all-in one film testing system featuring electronic and robotic film testing. Highlight also produces Portable Field Test Kits which follow ASTM 4649 film testing standards.
* Highlight makes a specialized stretch film baler, the Poly Packer, to aid and improve the recycling of used film. The Shred-It-Tor is another environmentally friendly product, shredding waste cardboard in a such a way so that it can be re-used as packing material.
