Global Shop Solutions is an Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) company that targets small to medium sized manufacturers, job shops, or make-to-order companies. Located in The Woodlands, Texas, Global Shop Solutions also has offices in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver and Detroit, and serves customers in a variety of industries throughout the United States, Canada, South America, and Australia. Global Shop Solutions software is premised on the real-time analysis of cross-operation manufacturing data to facilitate cost accounting, inventory management, production scheduling, and on-time delivery. ERP Functions Founded in 1976 by Dick Alexander, the progression of upgrades of the company's ERP software has always been based upon established Lean Manufacturing (and Six Sigma) manufacturing principles such as continuous improvement (Kaizen) and just-in-time manufacturing (Kanban).
