Promwad

Promwad Innovation Company is an independent electronics design house in Eastern Europe with development centres in Belarus and Russia, an IPC member, specializing in hardware and software development, as well as industrial design for media and entertainment, telecommunications, automotive, home and industrial automation.
History
The company was founded in 2004 by a group of engineers working on a optic fiber project. As an independent start-up Promwad attracted specialists from Belarusian research labs and scientific institutes. The availability of skilled workers and relatively low labor costs in Belarus allowed the company to compete on the European market.
* SDR platform, a wireless communication system based on software-defined radio technologies.
* Set-top boxes for Russian companies based on STMicroelectronics' chipsets and Linux operating system.
* Linux-based devices for multimedia and home automation.
Partners
In 2011, Promwad became an official partner of Texas Instruments and joined the international network of design houses that develop electronics based on TI components and solutions.<ref name="eete" /> Also it is an official partner of Fujitsu and Samsung.
Awards
The company was nominated for the New Electronics of Russia Award in 2008.<ref name="Interview" />
