MHG Systems is a private company headquartered in Mikkeli, Finland. Company is specializing in development and distribution of web based ERP systems. Products of MHG Systems are based on such technologies, as mobile telecommunications, GPS navigation and RFID. Most of the company's products are built on Java platforms such as Java EE, Java ME and Java SE. In 2009, a product of MHG Systems, the MHG Bioenergy ERP, was ranked 10th most innovative proposal in Logica's Global Innovation Venture Partner competition. History In the middle of 2000s, mobile phones were becoming increasingly powerful, and incorporated a number of functions such as ability to take digital images, transfer data (GPRS/3G/HSDPA) and to recognize their location though in-built GPS receivers. At that time, mobile devices were seldom used in business applications, due to the limited functionality, expensiveness of Internet, inability to process and store significant amounts of data. At that time, Mr.Seppo Huurinainen came up with an idea to use this emerging functionality to create a distributed business applications to suite the needs of Bioenergy Industry. With the assistance of MikTech, an office was set up in Mikpoli building, in Mikkeli, where the company is headquartered since. At the moment, the products of the company are avaliable in 13 languages. The latest version of MHG Bioenergy ERP system includes the Moisture Monitoring algorithm, jointly developed by University of Eastern Finland, Finnish Forest Research Institute and MHG Systems. Cooperation with Feedstock Optimum MHG Systems is closely cooperating with Bioenergy Solution provider, the Feedstock Optimum. Mutually, companies are realizing a number of projects supported by the European Union and ABREF.
