Pete Lougheed (born November 5, 1979 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American football offensive tackle free agent in the National Football League who was on the practice squad for the Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cleveland Browns. Lougheed was activated for the Bengals' 53-man roster late in the 2004 season, but never played in a regular season NFL game. Biography Lougheed attended Homestead High School, and in 1998, the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel named him the Boys Athlete of the Year. In high school he played as a fullback and was considered the "cornerstone" of the team's ground attack. He played college football as an offensive tackle and tight end at Purdue University from 1999 to 2002. Lougheed was a third-generation Boilermaker: his grandfather, Olin, played there as a guard in 1942, and his father, Scott, as a punter from 1969 to 1971. Following the 2003 NFL Draft, Lougheed signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. He later spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Cleveland Browns.
