The company expected to continue operations without interruption during the reorganization process.
The company successfully emerged from bankruptcy on December 22, 2009 with the confirmation of its plan of reorganization by the State Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. The key result of the confirmation was that the company no longer had any asbestos-related liabilities or obligations. All present and future asbestos-related claims against the company are forever channeled to an independent asbestos trust.
