American Eagle Manufacturing Company

American Eagle Manufacturing Company, Inc. was a US-based manufacturer of custom, high-end motorcycles, located in Carlsbad, California.
The company was founded by Greg Spak in 1995, in Santa Cruz, California. It moved to Hollister CA in 1997 and became one of the premier Big American Motorcycle companies of the late 90's. The company produced hundreds of high quality Motorcycles under Mr Spak's control. The company was in the process of producing an IPO and was hit hard during the process by the mis dealings of a Big 8 accounting firm.
It was acquired (via fraud) by a relative of one of its founders and short time later and was moved to Carlsbad CA where the company was used as a shell, by Don Logan Sr., Barrie M Logan and Robert Cashmen to acquire investment money for their own use. The Logans and Cashmen were named in a law suit. Many investors were victims of a 100% return on your money scam, that was using the original company's records to show cashflow. The total amount of the losses is to this days date unknown. Criminal investigations continue.
Upon the death of Don Logan Sr, Barrie M Logan declined to offer a will, and even fought to have her late huspand's will kept out of court. On 6/04 2006, San Jose judge William J Elving awarded the original company a owners 2.5 million judgment and order the attachment of proceeds from the sale of the Logan's home to be atttached via levy in case number 103CV818041.
Barrie M Logan has filed for Chapter 7 protection (Southern District of California, San Diego Bankruptcy Petition #: 06-02980-PB7) but many of the facets of her documents are under examination by the authorities. Her total debt was over 19.5 million dollars and she left the entire estate of her dead huspand pennyless and defending a number of legal issues. Court records show that she sold many assets (a truck and trailer, for 25,000 Federal adversarial complaint Number 08-90428-pd) on September 25, 2006 her chapter 7 filings claim that she had only a hundred dollars to her name on October 4 2006, a few days later. She has been unable to provide any accounting to the court for that money.
Under oath, in on of many judgement debtor exam, held by the trustee for the courts, Barrie M Logan admitted that she had been putting money from the sale of her huspands asset's into the bank account of her then Boyfriend, John Bennett so as to pay her bills as to many people had levy's upon her for many past legal judgements. During one of the hearings she claimed that she "Gave Away" 2 American Eagle Motorcycles, (that were in the garage of Don Logan upon his death) and she did not know the name of the person that she gave them too.
Only 9 months after the death of Don Ramey Logan Sr, his former wife, "Barrie Morine - Paine - Tidwell - Logan" married John Bennett, a auto mechanic, and her court documents state that Mr John Bennett is now supporting her and both live together luxurously in Oceanside California. The US Bankruptcy court has filed 3 adversarial complaints upon Barrie Logan-Bennett in US Federal court that are as of yet unresolved.
The company is still in the control of Larry Lunan and it is now a subsidiary of Bad Toys Holdings, Inc..
They also market themselves as American Eagle Motorcycles, Inc but do not seem to produce anything.
The original company, is now named American Eagle Technology Inc. and it owns a US patent on a Big American Motorcycle Frame. The original company no longer is producing motorcycles and the legal proceedings continue. Larry Lunan has also filed for Chapter 7 protection in October of 08.

Other “American Eagles”
The name American Eagle has been used in connection with various other motorcycles in the past.
*In the early 1970s, the Laverda was marketed as the American Eagle in the U.S., and under that name was ridden by Evel Knievel in his later jumps.
*The English Sprite, a 405cc motocross bike, was sold in the U.S. as American Eagle.
*American Eagle Harley-Davidson is a motorcycle dealership in Corinth, Texas, opened in 2002.
*Because their old logos and many of their advertisements have featured an eagle together with the American flag's “stars and stripes”, some people refer to various Harley-Davidson models as "American Eagles", although Harley Davidson itself never marketed a model by that name.
*The American Eagle badge was placed on another Laverda and called the Renegade. It was a 150CC version built for the USA and sported fiberglass bodywork and had an additional 25CC over the European version.
