Gustav Magnusson

Gustav Magnusson born March 1, 1992, more commonly known by the pseudonym S4, is a professionalDota 2 player. He started his Dota 2 career with The Tough Bananas at Dreamhack Summer 2012 after which he was picked up by the team No Tidehunter. No Tidehunter were themselves picked up by Alliance and changed their name to match that of their new owners. They would go on to win at the .

s4’s Dota 2 career started in early 2012 where he played at Dreamhack Summer 2012 with his team The Tough Bananas. The team did not make the playoffs, but that wasn’t the end for s4. In the fall of that same year he, along with AdmiralBulldog, created No Tidehunter. Shortly after their formation they won their first tournament, the Revenge #1. With the addition of Loda and Akke they set out to win Dreamhack Winter 2012. Despite being underdogs, they managed to beat EG in the grand finals and secure first place in the team’s first major tournament together.
Alliance and s4’s success continued in 2013; they won several tournaments such as the StarLadder Season 5 LAN as well as Dreamhack Summer 2013, cementing themselves as one of as one of the top Dota teams and they went into the as favorites. They went on to win this tournament without loosing a series and only loosing 2 games; both of which happened in the final best of 5 game series.
Throughout 2014 s4’s performance remained consistent winning the best mid player at , but after TI4 he decided to part ways with Alliance. He went on to create Team Secret with Puppey, which proved to be one of the most dominant teams throughout 2014 and 2015, largely due to s4’s plays in the mid lane.
After Secrets disappointing placing in and the subsequent disbanding of the squad S4 rejoined his former team.
