History LPWL stands for Little Park Wiffleball League. The LPWL does not play by the standard wiffle ball rules, and instead uses the same rulebook as the MLB. There are several "house rules" created by the LPWL such as there is only four innings of play (extra innings if needed) and they only play two out per inning rather than three. The League was created for anyone of any age to join and have fun while maintaining a level of competitiveness. The LPWL started the first 24 game season in June 2007 with three teams. The three original teams were the Swordfish, Dust Devils, and Mad Dogs. The popularity of the first season led to many more seasons to come. The LPWL has played 16 seasons/tournaments and is still planning more for future dates. League Format/Rules -Four inning games -Two outs per inning -Must have at least 2 players to play a game (Fielder and Pitcher) -Pinch Hitters may only be used after the original batter has had 2 at bats -No Base Switching (Ghost Runners may be used) -Teams must be equal (You can have one player more than the other team) Seasons/Tournaments June 2007 Season - This season was the inagural season for the LPWL and it was a 24 game season featuring the Swordfish, Dust Devils, and Mad Dogs.
